Any CQU students in this forum? Has enyone ever had cause to contact this institution about distance learning? How was your experience? I sent several emails and await there response, in the meantime, I wanted to get your opinions on the institution's culture.

Although I find CQU's site easier to navigate than most, I haven't been able to find anywhere that indicates they do offer distance degrees or flexible learning degrees, although Bear's Guide list them in the Distance Education book. I am sure my lack of finding it has to do with my poor navigational skills. I did inadvertedly find an interesting looking and sounding DProf degree where one could potentially specialize in an area of their choice (where there is research supervision of course). The research program takes 2 years to complete. Right up my 'alley'. Your thoughts....

    Happy Holidays.....

I applied to Central Queensland University and they accepted me into the Engineering Technology program. They have extensive distance education programs. I did not follow through with attending because they would not transfer my Associates Degree from the USA.

See the link on my webpage:

Well, I took another look at their website and I did not find any distance education programs. I wonder what happened to them all. They use to have many programs.

The issue is that many Australian Universities don't differentiate between on campus or external. It is basically the same program but you register as an external student. You need to send them an email and ask them if the program is available for external study.
