You may find this interesting if you're considering transferring credits from Touro University International (TUI) to Excelsior College :

I just applied for a second bachelor's degree - this time in Mathematics. I have a bachelor's degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (2001), an MBA (ITM concentration, 2002) and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Business (2005) from TUI.

I sent Excelsior College all of the transcripts (from 11 different sources) and they did an unofficial evaluation. They did NOT include the credits from TUI. I called them to ask why. The response: "Touro University was not accredited during the period of your studies, so we cannot accept credits in transfer from that school."

Touro University International was accredited under Touro College by Middle States until they received individual accredidation under WASC in 2006. I told Excelsior that - of course, they didn't believe me.

So, I contacted TUI and they are going to provide me with a formal letter stating that they were accredited, etc.

The question is: am I the first person to try to transfer credits from Touro University International to Excelsior?? I doubt it! I wonder why Excelsior doesn't have any records showing TUI's accredidation...

I don't know anything about this issue, but I have to say that it good to see you around again.

Thanks! I've been quiet for awhile - mostly because I haven't had much to say.

You probably already know this, but Charter Oak also has a mathematics second bachelors program. From time to time, I've thought about teaching High School math...

I transferred TUI credit to Excelsior without a problem. My TUI credit was from Fall 2004 - Winter 2005 timeframe.

Exactly what I want to do with the degree!
Excelsior meets my requirements better than Charter Oak or TESC, though. I'm taking my final two classes right now.
