I'm looking for a certifcate program that would add a little bit of excitement to my resume. Something from a top school would be a plus maybe in the fields of finance or similar? Anybody have some suggestions?
How about this- http://www.snhu.edu/102.asp or one of these - http://www.extension.harvard.edu/2006-07/programs/default.jsp#cert
Looking at Randell1234's suggestions made me think of a couple of questions for you: 1. Do you want an undergraduate or graduate certificate? 2. Do the credits need to be real quarter or semester credit, or would you be happy with non-credit or continuing education units (CEU)? 3. What other areas besides finance are interesting to you? Dave
How about a professional certification? Certified Management Accountant Certified in Financial Management Certified Financial Planner Certified International Investment Analyst Certified Risk Analyst Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Chartered Financial Analyst
The Certified in Financial Management designation test will be discontinued at the end of 2007. How about a financial planning certificate from either Boston University or Florida State. I seem to recall that students liked their experience at FSU, not so much BU. http://www.butrain.com/cpe/FinOvrvw.asp http://learningforlife.fsu.edu/cpd/programSchedule.cfm?cid=1&pid=1
I don't know about FSU, but I believe BU contracts their DL programs out to a private company, which greatly surprised me when I heard about it.
Try UNC at Chapel Hill. They have several undergraduate and graduate certificates online. I am working on a graduate certificate in Public Health online. I don't know about any of the business schools here but I am sure they may.
I like the Arts Administration at UMass - not expensive, not long, the school has a good rep. and Arts Admin sounds, well, "artsy".
I have the Cert in Fin. Management from the NY inst. of Finance: http://www.nyif.com/about/certificate.html scroll to the bottom of the screen. Quick and easy. Cost about $1000 - $1200 to complete. Took me about 3 weeks. They send you a nice Cert/Diploma to hang over your desk.
