Hey, I graduated from Computer Learning center in 2000, I have MCP certification and a few others. The school closed down around 2003. I have my transcript but the board of education dosn't have the records for that year. Thomas Edison rep said they want an official transcript from the Board of Ed in order to transfer my records into college credits. Does anyone have an idea how I could get credits for all my certs, and transcripts?
    Thanks

For the MCP certification courses contact Microsoft as they maintain official records for their own certification programmes. Microsoft issues official transcripts which can be sent directly to Thomas Edison State College (TESC). Good luck!

As Sentinel said, you can order the trainscript from Microsoft Certification Program http://www.microsoft.com/mcp. Maybe, you'll receive 2 credits for MCP exam; I don't think you can do anything about other courses. If you attend TESC, then go to bank some FEMA's courses.

Just to clarify, they will give you credits based on the exams you passed. I got a total of 17 from COSC for my certs (A+, MCP+I, MCSE NT 4.0) at the time. Look at Excelsiors website for a list of credits offered for each exam. COSC uses Excelsiors guide and I would bet TESC does also, or at least something close.

    Check with ACE

Hello, I believe CLC had ACE approvals at that time. I would call your State Dept of Education to start to unravel your transcripts. I would also check with ACE, American Council of Education. Hille

Thanks for the replies...I contacted the Rep for ACE at TESC I believe his name Dan negron, sent him all copies of my transcript and certs. He basicly said "computer learning center transcript must come directly from the new jersey department of labor and workforce development who is the orignating source and legal custodian of computer learning center student records." Department of labor can't find any records for year 2000. So if i can't get my official transcript from board of ed...is there a way i can send my orginal transcript from computer learning center to the board of ed to get it certified? I mean they should have had all the records from the school.
