Hi -- I've been following this forum for a couple of days now, and it has plenty of great information. Many people provide very valuable feedback and are very knowledgeable.
I have a couple of questions that maybe someone could provide input.

I am currently in the United States Air Force and am enrolled in Touro Univery International in the BS Computer Science program. What does everyone think of Touro as a educational institution??

I am also trying to obtain my MBA from a RA educational institution with no or little residency requirements. I am looking for a DL MBA degree from an institution that also has a physical location (brick and mortar). Any good credible institutions??

Touro is RA, and I've heard positive things from students and graduates.

For an MBA, you have probably more choices than any other DL graduate degree. Check out Jonnie's Distance Learning Page, which lists over 200 legitimately accredited MBA programs. Be sure to read the explanation concerning professional accreditation of business programs at the top of the US MBA page.

    Good luck!

For a distance MBA that is inexpensive and gets you professional accreditation and regional accreditation check out Chadron State College........the most bang for the buck in traditional MBA. http://www.csc.edu/onlinemba/

If you are into Leadership..........then check out St. Joseph's College of Maine MBA online.

Both have campuses..........I saw St. Josephs, their campus is absolutely gorgeous.

Welcome! I’m USAF as well and currently enrolled at Touro. I can’t speak for everyone’s opinion here, but I can tell you from experience that Touro is a credible institution. I officiated a retirement ceremony yesterday for a MSgt (E-7 for the uninitiated) with a Grad degree in the same Touro program I’m in (MSITM), and he has his choice of job offers.

To be fair, he has a lot of experience with his target profession (project management), but the Grad degree certainly helped. Not one prospective employer had a problem with where it came from – it was a check mark, and certainly enhanced his credentials. In addition, several civilian co-workers are either enrolled at Touro or graduated recently, and the degree was more than acceptable to both the Government and various contract employers.

As far as the MBA, it’s hard to top Bruce’s advice. Check the list, weigh what meets your preferences and requirements, and see what meets TA/GI Bill top-up after you graduate from Touro. PM me if you need anything else.

This is a great one also - http://mbaonline.csudh.edu/
There are many to choose from. I liked my graduate program from TUI but there were a few things I did not like. One was the fact that there were not any books or even recommended books for the class and two was when I was in the MS-ITM program, not all the classes had an ITM prefix like they do now. Back then it was more management focused (BUS, MGT, MKT prefixes).

Overall, I would recommend the program. My employer was based out of Long Island and many people had Touro College degrees since that is where the B&M campus is. The fact that they have a law school and med school holds a lot of weight.
