University of Adelaide

Has any member of this forum had any experience with the University of Adelaide in Australia? Are there any students or anyone contemplating attending? I was told today by a friend that the University of Adelaide offers a PhD in Corporate Governance by Dissertation through distance learning methods. A quick look mentions that a research PhD can be earned through external methods. Does anyone else concur?

I live in Adelaide but I don't attend the University of Adelaide. I think you can pursue your PhD by distance but I'm not sure whether you have to come to campus for at least once or twice. You would have to check it out with the university. The university has a good reputation. It is one of the research-intensive universities in Australia, which they call the Group of 8.
