    A couple quotes:

"I don't trust any MBA grad any more (who obtained a degree in) under two years," Hochstein said. "You can't learn the material (properly that fast)."

"In effect, to compete (with other business schools) there are temptations to lower the quality of the students or make programs faster and easier," Tomberlin said. "Sometimes compromises are made, but that's more outside Canada. I don't think it's happening here often."

I'm normally conservative, but not like this...

I'm not sure if insisting that you walked both ways uphill in the snow to school comes to mind or envisioning someone complaining that Latin isn't required to graduate from grammar school anymore.

I think the Latin argument is the winner for me. Yes, there is some truth to it, but I don't think the trend will reverse. I'm afraid some of this is the same argument that B&M professors use against distance learning because they suffered for their advanced degree (they didn't remain employed) and so should you. Innovation isn't based on doing things the way they have always been done.

I would be curious in reading a study on how people with different types of MBA's actually do in the workplace as long as experience and other factors are considered. Does anyone know of a study of this type that is impartial?
