I have to take a one year
sequence(12 quarter units) in Natural Science. I was wondering if there would be a painless way to do it DL, possibly through COSC? (I am absolutely positively NOT a science-oriented person! [IMG])

  3. Charter Oak does have some online and videotape courses, but they're not easily found on the website. You can download a catalog in PDF format.

I'd try searching one of the online course databases. I've had the best luck with the DistanceLearn database (all forms of distance learning) and MindEdge (online only). Find some courses that look likely and ask for more information from the school.

See http://distancelearn.about.com/cs/courseguides/ for links to these and other online course guides.

Athabasca has several courses in specific science subjects (biology, cell biology, organic chemistry etc.) University of Missouri-Columbia also has several, including Physical Geology, for which students rent a sample rock and mineral set.

If you need this for credit toward a degree, check with your educational adviser to make sure your school will accept the credit.

    COSC biology classes
BIO 110 Cycles of life 3 semester credits basic
BIO 120 Introduction to Genetics 3 semester credits basic with lab 4 semester credits both video tape courses.

CLEP general Chemistry 6 semester credits basic
CLEP general Biology 6 semester credits basic

More bang for the buck would be the clep exams
