    Hopefully, the kids who look up to professional athletes as their heros will follow their example and finish school.

    Pro athletes.....

    Another good example is Shaquille O'Neal. He finished up his degree at LSU vis distance learning. Another LA athlete is Eric Karros,....he attended UCLA and finished up there by attending Winter Quarters before spring training started. It's possible......

    I think it's great, as the guys are major role models for many of todays youth. It says a lot whenenver a person who is finacially set for life (10 times over), has the desire and drive to complete their education. Hopefully many others will do the same, sending a strong message to those kids who look up to them.

    O'Neal also went on to get an MBA from UoP. I know that Phillies pitcher Jamie Moyer completed a BGS from Indiana University via DL.

    Former MLB pitcher Al Leiter also earned his degree via DL from Penn State.

    Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis completed his bachelors degree through UMUC.
