Are there full-time teaching jobs, with fixed pay and benefits, at any of 4 year colleges or 3rd tier universities that do not require their faculties to publish papers?
Ditto Han’s reply. Also a question. I always see universities refered to in tiers. Is there a listing somewhere? Have always wondered how that is derived.
Not tenure, but it can be full-time with benefit right??? How about community colleges??? Do they offer tenure track?
A ton of CC's offer tenure track jobs. There usually (not a one from what I have seen) is not a publishing requirement. A full-timer is usually teaching 4-6 classes per term. They usually don't have time for research. Plenty do publish, but the overwhelming emphasis is on teaching.
My department at FSU has a couple of non-tenure-track, full time with benefits, long time instructors. Research university, too.
