I'm Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just recieved my final grade on my final assignment in my final class for a BSCJ from Southwestern College. I file to graduate tomorrow afternoon once I recieve confirmation tomorrow morning that all requirements have been met.

Man, I can't believe I'm actually done. I feel like I should be doing something right now.

I have to say one thing though, I couldn't have finished at a better time because I was starting to borderline a nervous breakdown. I've been doing 6 credit hours every 6 weeks since Oct. of 2005 and this is the first break I've had in a year. I don't recommend anyone else try that pace, but I'm glad I did it and I'm glad it's done. During that time I have gained 20lbs and learned a lot. Now I'll be able to get back into the gym, take 2 months off and start on a graduate program.

I have to say thanks to everyone on this site for helping me back about a little over a year ago when I was in a crisis as Kaplan University's College for Professional Studies was shutting their doors, Texas criminal justice decided upon RA only degrees being applicable for advanced certification, etc.

Along comes our dearly missed friend DesElms with his recommendation for Southwestern College, who accepted me, my credits, etc. and here a little over a year later I'm finally typing the message I have been dying to type since first picking up Dr. Bear's book................


I'm FINALLY FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started college in 1996, went off and on and here I am, 10 years later, with a degree merely weeks away and all the work I have to do to get it done. It makes me dizzy, maybe I should sit down.

I remember when you first embarked on your BSCJ and were trying to make your decision. I had decided to attend Penn Foster (then Education Direct) at the same time. I hope to be in your position about a year from now.

I just received my formal notification from WGU this morning that my graduation ( BS Business Mgt) has been approved and the sheepskin is on its way.

And I started the enrollment in WGU's MBA program today, too, so I get one month's break before heading back to school.

It's a pretty great feeling, isn't it?

By the way, I also want to thank a lot of the senior members on this board, who, without knowing it, helped me make the decision to go with WGU 18 months ago. I'm really happy with the choice.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about Southwestern College. Have you ever had a feeling like you were a little lost or forgotten by your school? I have from others, but never once did I feel out of touch with Southwestern. Hands down, the best student support I've ever recieved.

Heck, if I ever have kids, I'm going to try to send them there too.
