    Hi All,

Are there inexpensive online degreees from other countries other than USA. Since the dollar value is pretty high for instance it is 48 rupees to that of a dollar. I know there are inexpensive places in the world that might also have online degrees for a very modest tuition fee. There is also a free online degree program but they are just a bachelor's degree and in commerce. I am looking for a Masters degree or more. Any suggestions/leads would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Indira Gandhi National Open University seems incredibly affordable, and I've never heard of there being anything wrong with it. Why not just go with them? Is there something bad about them I don't know?

Failing that I suppose I'd look at South African schools. They're very reasonable as well. Search for threads on them here and you'll find a lot of information and a lot of people's experiences.

    IGNOU

Indira Gandhi National Open University is a good one but it requires to enroll through study centers and I think their MBA is a good one. They however have entry requirements of 55% marks in both UG and PG I believe when I last spoke with one of the representatives. I was slightly short of it in the UG level. I know a lot of universities are there who just require a pass mark in UG and PG and Phil programs for admission. I am trying to find those universities.

I understand. Well, then you could try the University of South Africa. They're the most accustomed to working with foreign distance learning students. It can be difficult to get good information from them by email, so you may want to call them.

    Good luck,

You can also try Australian Universities for online PHd's.

    Thanks Steve

I will definitely check with them. There is this unaccredited online Bachelor's of Commerce free through internet for developing countries and under-developed countries

I know I have passed the UG level but still I thought if I get one for free, I might as well enroll! But in case I enroll for an online Phd program, then I would not enroll in this as I would have no time. What do you think about this project - Free online degree!

Fascinating. I respect what they're trying to do, but accreditation in Canada literally requires an act of the provincial parliament, so I'd probably avoid this program other than for personal enrichment.

For one, I think it's better to think of it as free business training rather than a free degree.

For another, I think you should find a university through which you can do a PhD, since that's what you really want. I'm confident you can find one that would work with you. It's a big planet. :)

Have you considered the University of Pretoria?

    Here's the link: http://www.up.ac.za/

My experience with this S. African school has been extremely positive.
