Just got an email from MDS (www.mdivs.edu) that stated that they were upping their requirements for MACS and DBS degrees. I inquired and was told by a receptionist that they were seeking accreditation from an accrediting agency of which she was not informed enough to give accurate information.
Has anyone heard about this? I figure it's the same agency that has accredited Trinity for many years. Not government certified, etc.

Hmm. I do not believe that any organization has accredited Trinity for many years; Trinity is, however, an accredition candidate of the NCA, if that's what you're referring to.

This is the one I was referring to. From the Trinity website:
NAPNSC ACCREDITATION 1992 UNTIL THE PRESENT TIME
In 1990, the new administration acknowledged the need for Trinity to be evaluated on both its organizational structure and academic programs. A search was begun for a quality accrediting agency which understood Distance Education. Thus our accredited relationship with NAPNSC was forged in 1992 and continues until today. During these years of on-site visits by NAPNSC, the teams consisted of educators employed by accredited colleges and universities across America. On one occasion, the NAPNSC team was accompanied by Dr. Karen Kirchenstein, representing the United States Department of Education. The most recent visit for continued accreditation in 2003 resulted in 100% compliance with all criteria. Information about NAPNSC can be obtained at: http://www.napnsc.org.
