I am new to the idea of distance learning. I am a freshman and am attending Duquesne university, but I don't see myself staying at a full time school. I would like to start working and saving money in order to open my own business and going to school full time makes it impossible to save a significant amount of money so I've decided on looking into distance learning. I want to earn a Bachelor's in Business probably in the Entrepreneurship major. I will have 30-60 credits by the time I enroll in an online school if it is the route i choose, but I will need to take the rest of the courses online. does anyone have any ideas for me? Only school I found so far is Ellis College. Thank you in advance.
Take a look at University of Florida.. http://wwwdev.cba.ufl.edu/upo/programs/obsba/curriculum.asp Tuition For the 2006-2007 academic year, tuition in Online Business Program is: $149.63 per credit hour for Florida residents $171.01 per credit hour for non-Florida residents Admission FAQ http://wwwdev.cba.ufl.edu/upo/programs/obsba/faq.asp
Re: Re: Could you help with my choice? This is a great program. Anyone who lives in Florida would be well advised to at least consider UF if they want a bachelor's degree in Business Admin. However, tests for this program are administered in several remote sites within the state of Florida so this program is really not appropriate if you live outside the state.
JoAnn is right, unless you live in Florida, the UF option isn't really a good one due to having to test in Florida. However, there are plenty of good state schools and private universities that may work for you. Here are a couple to get you started. Penn State University of Wyoming There are plenty of other state universities that have outreach and distance learning programs. The following three are mainly for those who have lots of prior knowledge and can take several tests to demonstrate that knowledge. They may not be suitable for you. Charter Oak State College Excelsior College Thomas Edison State College Also, you can read the articles on degree info and also check out www.geteducated.com
