There are potential adjunct applicants who may not be aware of higherded or chronicle. Hopefully, these posts will help DI members and lurkers :) locate employment opps.

If South University can help pay the bills and a person has been laid off, I'd say go ahead and apply for a position. What have you experienced at South U?

The issue with South / EDMC is excessive overhiring, I have heard it from quite a few adjuncts.

They hire, send you through the training, and then nothing. Time is probably better spent pursuing other schools.

    EDMC

    Hi Everyone:

Auditguy is right. I was "hired" by the Art Institute (EDMC) a few monthes ago and went through all the training. I think is was about 4 weeks online with other teachers. Then I heard nothing. I emailed them several time to see what the next step is and heard nothing back. Not a good recruiting tool. Thanks
