I have a law degree and an MPA from traditional brick and mortar schools and seeking to teach on-line part-time as an adjunct. I have several questions: (1) Is the JD considered a "terminal degree" where I can teach at the graduate level or is a PhD needed? (2) What is the market like for on-line adjuncts in the area of law, i.e. Criminal Justice, Juvenile Delinquency, Mediation, etc? (3) Where is a good place to start seeking out such opportunities? (4) How competitive is the market when trying to land such an on-line adjunct opportunity? I have been practicing law for 14 years and have some teaching experience as a traditional college adjunct.
I'm not familiar with law and the answers to some of your questions but I would think you would have a good chance of getting hired. You might PM member Little Fauss, as I believe he is teaching/ has taught online law.
