I took my first 2 CLEP exams yesterday and passed.

    Natural Science: 59
    Computers and Applications: 69

I'm wanting to take the Humanities and Social Science&History next. What methods/aids are recommended for studying these?

Their is alot of names and dates to remember between the two.

Humanities is an incredibly broad test. If you're good at Trivial Pursuit, you're probably ready to take it. If not, grab a copy (dead trees or web-based) of "The Dictionary of Cultural Literacy" and spend a week or two reading it end to end. You won't retain all 6,900 entries, but you'll retain enough to do really well on the exam.

I haven't done the Social Sciences and History exam, but it is also extremely broad. You'll find questions on US History, Western Civ., Psychology, Sociology, and many more subjects. If most of these topics are new to you, you might consider taking more CLEP subject exams instead of this general exam, so that you can concentrate on one topic at a time. If you feel like light revision will suffice, there are several study guides available from Amazon.com or other booksellers. The REA guides have picked up mixed reviews here, but they do produce a guide for this exam.

Tell me about the Natural Science Exam! What should I study for the exam?

For the Natural Science exam I used the REA General exam guide and the Peterson's Success book. I also triied the InstantCert, but I'm not fond of the format.

I however am concerned about my upcoming Social Science/History exam. I did light studying and took the 2 practice exams from the REA General book and got 43 and 44 on the second.

I feel alot more comfortable with the Social science portion than the History. But SS is 60%, so my plan is to get than down and the rest should be gravy.

    Tomorrow I take the exam.

Took SS/History today and passed with 52. Wheww!!

And it was NOT 60% SS. More like 75% history. Wednesday I take the next, which I'm debating between Macroeconomics, Marketing or Principles of Management.

Any advice as to level of effort?

Congrats on another pass! I actually took all three of the exams you're looking at. For macroeconomics, I bought a used old edition of a macroeconomics text book from the local university bookstore for right around $5, it was thin enough to read over two evenings (about 120 pages or so). For Marketing and Principles of Management, I used books from the Barron's Business Review Series. Very good stuff! Good luck with your next exam!
