I am thinking about signing up with Penn Foster to get my associates in Industrial Engineering Tech.
Have any of you guys ever gotten this degree thru Penn Foster?
I would like some of your opinions on getting this degree thru Penn Foster.
    Thanks

The Penn Foster curriculum appears to be generally similar to what you might find at your local community college. However, the community college may well be better when it comes to job placement.

The instructors at the CC will probably know something about potential local employers, and can give you more specific advice and information that the Penn Foster instructors would be able to do. And the potential employers in your area will probably be more familiar with your local CC than with Penn Foster.

The Penn Foster degree may have market value, but a local CC degree may provide better local connections and name recognition. If you go the Penn Foster route, you might also consider taking some local CC courses to supplement or replace the online coursework, if this is feasible.

Some of the Penn Foster technology programs apparently have a residential lab component, where you spend a couple of weeks in the summer at a B&M facility. This might be an issue for some people. Don't know if it applies to this specific program.
