Has anyone uses Instantcerts and how does it work? The site says it's question based but doesn't give much more detail. Does it score and time you, etc? Is it worth using in conjunction with the REA books?
InstantCert is the best thing since sliced bread in CLEP & DANTES exam preparation. Each exam is broken down into a series of flashcard style questions (200-500 per). It is here that the "4R's" come into play (read signature). I use IC for to take and pass nearly 2 dozen exams. For more FREE info go to www.instantcertonline.com/forums .
I did their free trial, but disliked their interface so much I cancelled it. However, many others swear by them. Either way, since it's free to try them, there's no reason not to do so. -=Steve=-
People learn in different ways. Some methods, like the instantcert flashcards work for some and don't for others. Some people can learn by just reading a thick textbook. Others may learn better by being in a discussion group. The trick is finding what works for YOU. Since instantcert has a free trial, you should try that first. If you're still unsure, try it for a month. The webmaster of instantcert will cancel your subscription after that month, if you don't like it. Granted, it will cost $20 to try it for the month, but that's not really that bad is it? I swear by it. But as MrLazy says, it's all the way you learn. They just added thier first ECE exam, Psychology of Aging. Not sure if anyone has used it to pass the exam yet, but instacert helped me earn a 71 on the History of the Soviet Union.
