Since I think it's instructive for people to note that a lot of "alternative" universities are claiming affiliation with NGOs, in order to claim affiliation and status with the U.N. or Unesco or Unicef or whatever. So here are some of the universities that I've noticed doing this, mostly using the International Association of Educators for World Peace. As you can imagine, I have noticed various people behind IAEWP (guess who) themselves taking part in a number of online "universities" in a very complicated web....

    Adam Smith University:
    http://www.adamsmith.edu/
(Note: "Adam Smith University is recognized by the Association Internationale des Educateurs la Paix Mondiale, a consultative organization to UNESCO." Lists Francis Dessart of AIEWP/IAEWP as an "international representative" of Adam Smith University in Belgium.)

    American World University:

World Association of Universities and Colleges (USA).")

    Calamus International University:

(Note: "Member of The International Association of Educators for World Peace - (NGO, United Nations (ECOSOC), UNDPI, UNICEF, UNCED & UNESCO).")

    Open University of Alternative Medicine:

(Note: The proprietor, Pradip Kumar Biswas, is "Special Professor of A.I.E.P.M. Programmes at the level of Right of man and Health, Statutory consultative of UNESCO,ONU-ECOSOC,UNDPI,ENUEO,UNICEF.")

    St. Clements:

Certificate from "Association Internationale des Educateurs Pour la Paix Mondiale" (AIEPM):

Pages for St. Clements where clicking on the hypertext about the AIEPM leads to the Web site for UNESCO:

    Wittfield University:

(Note: "WU is recognized by the Association Internationale des Educateurs la Paix Mondiale, a consultative organization to UNESCO.")

    "ACCREDITORS"

The accreditors that I have noticed whose members claim this NGO affiliation include I.C.O.D.E. (or C.O.D.E.), the Global Accreditation Association, International Accreditation for Universities, Colleges and Institutes, and the World Association of Universities and Colleges.

    Alfonso Roldan More's I.C.O.D.E.:
    http://www.code.es.org/ingles.htm
(Note: "It actively participates in different forums of UNESCO and European Union (EU). CODE is currently applying for consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC).")

    AN INVITATION

Add your favorite online "universities" claiming such NGO affiliations. Extra points if the "university" claims to be recognized itself by the U.N. or Unesco, or display their logos.
