As you can tell from the number of posts, I'm new to this discussion forum. I've done some lurking and reading previous posts, but I can't seem to find an answer to my question (perhaps there isn't one, and I'll have to go to the US or offshore). Simple: "Does anyone know of a PhD program offered at distance at a Canadian university?" The subject matter of the PhD would be information studies. UWaterloo (where I live) has a Masters degree in the Mgmt of Technology, Athabasca U offers MBAs in IT, U of Toronto & McMaster offer PhDs in the right subject areas but not at distance. Any and all info greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -- TRTucker
I’m afraid there is none, but there is a possibility to follow a PhD from UNISA (South Africa) or USQ (Australia) in Canada since they have examination centers distributed among the major cities. I live in Canada and I’m enrolled in the DBA program at USQ. Regards,
Dear Friend, what's the complete name of USQ of Australia. How are you doing with their DBA and what about its costs. Also, what about accreditation. I am not knowledgable about Australian accreditation system, can anyone help. thanks, Hisham
University of Southern Queensland, www.usq.edu.au It is a fully accredited university, Australian degrees are recognized by most of the professional associations in Canada (Engineering, accounting). The cost for the complete DBA is about AU 23,000. The service is good and examination centers across Canada.
