    1) Does it matter which site the courses are taken from (http://emilms.fema.gov/ or http://training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/IS/crslist.asp)? It looks like one site offers a shorter list of interactive courses and the other site offers a longer list of "regular" courses but I'm not sure.

    2) Since registration is not needed for a course, how does FEMA/EMI track your passed exams and document your transcript? Is it done by your SSN on the final exam?

    3) If I bank the FEMA/EMI credits at TESC, how should I go about doing it? Do I simply open an account with TESC, pay my $380, and then have FEMA/EMI forward a new transcript to TESC as I pass each class?

Thanks so much for the help.

Regarding #2, your contact info is 'registered' when you take the final exam.

    https://training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/IS/Exams/is5tst.asp

When you pass, they send you a printed notification a few weeks later (as well as emailed results within hours of taking the exam).

Regarding #3, I believe you are correct in that FEMA sends a 'transcript' to TESC resulting in 40 banked credits. You can use the search function for details (FEMA Credit Bank).

I've sometimes received confirmation of having passed the course in just a few minutes!

I've already passed 10 final exams over the past 2 weeks and I have recieved 6 certificates in the mail so far.

When you want your FEMA transcript, just follow the transcript link and make the request.

I'm not stopping until I finish all of them... the fact that this is all free is incredible!

Thanks. I did 3 over the weekend and received email confirmation within a few moments of each. I'm taking them all as well. Even though it's unlikely I'll need more than 15 or 20, they are free and actually pretty interesting.
