Good catch. I've never used anything other than Blackboard or WebCT for my distance courses, but I wonder how this will play out as far as future software innovations? Dave
These sorts of ridiculous patents have been a problem in IT for a long time. Amazon's "one click" patent is another example. USPTO seems to have a very different definition of obvious than the one in my dictionary, and they've evidently forgotten about that whole "prior art" thing. -=Steve=-
