Is anyone familiar with this school? Specifically, The Bangor Business School's PhD (by research). Corporate Goverance and Ethics seems interesting. But after checking out the site at length, I haven't been able to desern whether or not they offer research degrees by distance. Sent a couple emails and I await there response. http://www.bangor.ac.uk/courses/postgrad/index.php.en?menu=1
Regarding research degrees by distance from UK Universities. For what it's worth I have spoken with 2 UK schools about research based doctorates. Both say that they can be completed non residentially but that attendance at the school for meetings will definitely be required. Additionaly, one school (Swansea) has said that attendance for research methodology training would also be necessary. Generally I think most schools will be flexible about allowing you to complete the degree non residentially but they'll probably expect some face to face contact. I realize that wasn't really your question but I thought I would throw it in, having just looked into it myself.
re: Bangor University Of Wales, Bangor. Lovely place. Bridget Jones (of Bridget Jones's Diary) is an alumnus. Often used for comic effect in British movies.
Re: re: Bangor I am confused by this, and I am certain it is my own lack of understanding: which is used for comic effect in British movies, Bridget Jones or the University of Wales?
