I've finally decided on the Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Management degree from Peru College. "Starting school again" fever has got me and I'm looking forward to starting this degree. I think that will be a good choice to follow up from my CCAF. I've' locked myself into this so please don't try to change my mind! :) I'm indecisive enough as it is.

I have some questions that I can't find answers to on their website. If anyone can help that would be a big help to me.

    - What are the 'general studies' courses? I can't seem to find a list on their website:

    http://www.hpcnet.org/peru/onlineeducation/basm

"Students must also complete the Bachelor of Applied Science General Studies Program and other requirements."

The link to 'general studies program' doesn't work.

I have all my basics done from my CCAF. I'm hoping that will cover Peru's 'general studies'.

    - What does other requirements mean?

Taking the general requirements, 6 core classes, 4 management option classes, and 12 electives seems fit for me (not too difficult). Am I missing something?

    Note: Required Program Prerequisites:

    Math 340 Statistics

The statistics requirement scares the hell out of me. I hope this is the only math course I will have to take. Any words of advice on this. Is the course Peru offers hard or is there another upper level stats course offered by another school that is easier that I could transfer into Peru?

    - Is this degree considered a business degree, meaning I would like to follow this degree up with an MBA at TUI. Does this seem like a reasonable education path to take?

    - Anyone going to Peru now: what are you averaging in expenses for books per course? I've got USAF TA but I'll have to buy my own books.

A big thank you to anyone that can provide me some information. Have a good day. :)

Going back to school is always good. The more skills you have, the more opportunities for you.

The General Studies requirements can be found in their catalog. Which can be found here:

    http://www.hpcnet.org/peru/collegecatalog

    Download the 2006-2008 catalog.

From my reading of the general studies, they are a little different than I would expect for an AA degree. I don't know if your AA degree will complete all of the general studies requirements or if PSC will accept it as is or make you take more classes.

The best place to ask is the Peru State College admissions office.

The degree you are seeking has a requirement of 125 credit hours. Assuming your AA has 60, then you will need an additional 65 credit hours. Core courses, managment courses and additional electives.

The rest of your questions, I can't really answer. Best idea is to contact the admissions office and get it straight from them. If someone says they will accept your AA degree completely and you can start with the core classes, GET IT IN WRITING!
