Hi All, I am looking for distance ed. program that uses audio or streaming video to deliver there program online or offline. I am in the process of looking for an MBA program that is best for me. Any suggestions? ------------------ Colin B
Dear Colin, I am currently enrolled in Touro University International's (TUI) MBA program. While they do not offer video of courses in real time, each course is incorporated on CD-ROM and includes video from the course professor. Well worth checking out...http://www.tourou.edu Steven King
I also would like to add that at Touro University International's core or major courses are delivered through the web and the lectures are conducted live with the professor (audio only) using the eboard concept (Horizon Live). Professors can post presentations, write on an electronic board and conduct a 60 min. lecture live audio. Students will respond by typing the answers. All lectures are archived. Students can play it back at any time. Very interesting.. Eli
Eli, Steven, Thanks for your comments. How are you being evaluated in the program? Tests or assignments are both?
You are expected to complete the following part per module (total 6 modules): 1) Case analysis 2) Session Long Project 3) Threaded Discussion or Enhance Case 4) Live conference (core courses only) 5) Participate in group work You need to allocate an average of 2 hours per day per course. Eli
Colin, Each course consists of six modules and each module requires 2-3 written assignments. Two courses a semester will tax you...but is extremely doable. Steven King
Steven,Eli, I talk with the people at Touro. They were very helpful and provided me with the information I need. Except they weren't willing to send an example of syllabus for any of their MBA courses. I am very interest in see one of these. If you are willing help. email me at [email protected]. I was glad to hear that their program was not just online, but also multimedia / Interactive with videos of the professors presenting their material. ------------------ Colin B
