    Hi Doug,

Do you have links to the web pages associated with each program? That might help folks refresh their memories.

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Hi Doug,

I am also interested in MLS programs online. I have researched many of the schools listed and think I would go with the University of North Texas because of my interest in the courses offered.

    Have a nice day!

    I appreciate your feedback, Rhonda.

I'm curious. What exactly is your interest in the courses they offer?

What's the total cost for an MLS from University of North Texas?

    Thank you!

I apologize, Doug. After reviewing the website again, it appears UNT only offers the Graduate Certificate in School Librarianship online. I am more interested in either General Library Studies or Business/ Law Library related studies. To obtain a School Library certification in my state (Pennsylvania), one must also have a teaching certificate. I am not prepared to get a M.A.T and THEN a M.L.S. I did find a program at the University of South Florida that looks interesting...Take a look...

When I was living in Fort Lauderdale and deciding on a Master's program, I considered FSU's MLS. They have a good reputation, but it was at least as much mostly because I was eligible for in-state tuition there.

I chose FSU because of its strong reputation both academic and athletic. I live in South Florida and both UF and FSU are considered good schools.

Being that I know both UNT (http://www.unt.edu/slis/) and NCCU (http://www.nccuslis.org/) quite well, let me clarify. First, you can get a MSLS at the University of North Texas. I took 24 hours online there. It is in the SLIS website. I would recommend either program. I am a graduate of the NCCU program and it has served me well (Well in what librarians can do and not do...lol) You can get a MLS from NCCU, but you have to live over certain set mileage to do it online. At UNT, you can do it totally online. Look at Texas Woman's University as well.
