    Can someone please tell me...

    Firstly:

How do portfolio credits show up on TESC transcripts? Do they assign a TESC course number and title to it? Is there anything that identifies the course as a 'portfolio' course? (if possible, could you actually type out what it would look like?)

    Secondly:

How do classes you have transferred into TESC that are used for your major look on your transcript? Are they assigned a TESC course number and description or are they somehow indicated as being transferred into the program?

Overall, I'm trying to get some feeling of what other universities are going to see when they look at a transcript from TESC.

    Thanks a million

Also, can someone please provide me with links to websites where I can look up courses, their number, description, and offering institution so that I can find courses to portfolio? Of course, the course listings do not have to be dedicated to distance learning.

    Thanks a mil.

This doesn't sound like a fun task. [IMG] For hyperlinks to most, if not all, of the RA colleges and universities, the lists at the World Lecture Hall on the University of Texas web site are pretty good. There are links at the bottom to lists for the RA community colleges also.

I'm unaware of any comprehensive, stand-alone listings of courses other than the ones for distance learning. Possibly some of the state systems may have these for their schools. Perhaps other forum members have seen such and will post them.

  5. Actually, there are several online course guides and directories that can be searched by key words or browsed by subject -- see http://distancelearn.about.com/cs/courseguides/ for links. Once you've identified courses that look like good candidates, you can contact the schools for more information.

I've had the best luck with Excelsior College's DistanceLearn database.
