Any one here going to Peru? How do you like it?

    Thanks

I've always wanted to go to Peru but my Spanish skills are really weak. I was thinking Belize would be a nice trip. :D

    sorry, couldn't resist.

Hi, Pat - welcome. Are you going in residence, or via DL? Undergraduate, or graduate degree? The reason I'm asking is that it looks like the offerings narrow for the distance programs, particularly at the graduate level. Tuition looks very reasonable, both for in state and out of state.

Best of luck, and if you have any specific questions, by all means throw them out there - someone here may very well be able to help.

I am a student at Peru via distance, and I like it so far. I am in my second year there and it is a small school so you have to realize that you will have a lot of the same professors for classes. The classes are typical undergraduate classes with all the usual assignments (i.e.- papers, exams, and such) No proctor is required but fair warning this doesn't mean that the classes are easy. I took a lit class last semester that surprised the hell out of me. I had a 4.0 in all the other classes that I took there then I received my first exam score from that class and it was only in the upper 70s. Needless to say I had to work my behind off to get an A in that class. Lots of papers and essays in that class. they run their DL on Blackboard and it is pretty easy to navigate, the classes are all asynchronus I am pretty sure, at least I haven't run into one that isn't yet. Distance coordinators there are pretty good, some minor snafu's but as long as your competent to do distance learing you can easily work through them. Any other questions ask away!
