While on vacation at Myrtle Beach, SC, this past week, I picked up a copy of the "National Enquirer" for some humorous reading. Among all the unbelievable articles I noticed the classifieds, and sure enough, several ads for degrees were included.
www.pulc.com advertises FREE DEGREES, and I especially like the section which details the benefits of obtaining a doctoral degree. The website states that one "immediately" becomes a professional upon obtaining the doctorate. Prices, however, were not free. The Ph.D.'s ranged from $150-300.

Another ad listed a Free Degree Guide at 818-883-0887.

    MORAL OF STORY???

Among the many unbelievable stories printed by the National Enquirer include:

67 Year Old Man Has Baby
    Green Men From Mars
    Bill Clinton's Drunken Rage
    Bush Twins Were Once Siamese
    Elvis Spotted In Afghanistan
    FREE DEGREES
    CHEAP DEGREES WHICH ARE LEGITIMATE

Well, I can believe the Clinton story. Elvis, maybe...no, not really. Seriously, the PULC is an offshoot of the Universal Life Church. If one hasn't visited the ULC site lately I would suggest a visit at hppt://www.ulc.org. The ULC has changed drastically since its inception more than 30 years' ago.
