Currently I am pursing a PHD in public policy and administration with specialization in health services. I am a system engineer by profession, I design and implement new server infrastructures for a large hospital account. I hold a MPA, and PMP. My question is this given my education and professional experience would seeking employment in the federal sector be more advantageous than seeking employment in the private sector? I want to move toward a career as a hospital administrator either as a PMO or senior level hospital executive. Also I am a former military officer.

I am currently researching jobs with the VA or HHS (Health and Human Services) I subscribe to the federal job Report; this is a daily email that lists all available federal jobs throughout the country.

Also is there any empirical evidence to suggest whether DL degrees in general have gain greater acceptance in the public sector versus the private sector?
