Hello All, hope that everyone is well. I have a question regarding my own studies for once, and what is the best and most resonably priced Master's Degree. A bit about myself, so that people can ascertain better where I would be with regards to entry onto such a course:

I have 18 months left on a Human Resource Management Degree from a UK University, which I attend full time. I have been told by many that rather than finish the degree, just do another another six months and gradaute with a HND (holders of an HND can then do an Honours degree in a college year if they want). But entry to a Master's Degree (Full Time) could be realised by just having a HND, being almost a degree without the final nine months.

The reason I feel eligible for this step is that, along with the HND, I have completed a NVQ Level 4 in Management (comparable to a Dimploma in Management), and have done a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (Cert TEFL) with a Business Emphasis. I have six years work experience, two years of which was selling/setting up and installing Multimedia Hardware and Software, along with Sales Management/Admin (with COMET), two years was spent in Colorado doing Voluntary work and Humanitarian Aid, involving some people and project management, and then for the last eighteen months I have been (aswell as studying full time) working for Vodafone / Verizon, involved in Sales of cell/mobile phones and other areas of communications, where my responsibilites have included the supervision and management of others.

I mention all this, only that it relates to what I want to do: my ideal choice would be an MBA or a Msc in Human Resource Management, and if I were to complete the degree, I could do any of these no problem, but I thought that it would be possible to save the extra year, due to having completed quite a bit of undergraduate work and having some relevant experience.

If anyone could suggest any UK universities, full time on campus or distance learning, which would grant acceptance, please let me know, or nay leads as to where it would be good to look, remembering that price is a factor (I don't know how realistic these prices are, but about £3000 for the Master's, and upto £4000/£4500 for the MBA).

    Many Thanks in anticipation

    Cheers [IMG]

    Go to www.hwmba.edu
they take anybody off the street, You
just have to pass the exams. Do a search
on this board, there is nothing wrong
    with them.

Thanks, but I applied to them and have been accepted, though after adding the costs, their total is nearly £7,000. Maybe that's the cost anywhere, but if so for an MBA, I'll go for the Msc (HRM), which I've heard that prices can be around £3,000. Just need to know where.

    Cheers

Have you looked at the University of London External Programme[/i]? They offer several management-related M.Sc. programs, cheaply and in an exam-based format.

    Good luck.

    Peace,
