    Hi Guys,

    Greetings to all.

I would like to take up online MBA program in International Business or Risk management.

Could you guys please help me to select the course. I prefer USA universities than other universities. The reason is currently I am in US.

    Looking forward from you guys.

    Thanks in advance.

There are so many U.S. programs out there. Rather than give you a list of all of the hundred(s) that offer such programs, and confuse you with sheer data, can you help us with a few details first?

    1). Budget?
2). Are you willing to do a few on-campus residencies?
3). How important is the top accreditation in the U.S. (AACSB) to you? In other words, do you plan to keep academic career options open and/or do you plan on entering a new field with this MBA and search for a new job all together? Or is this just to advance within your own organization?
4). Finally, how old are you (roughly) and what level of experience do you have? I'd never recommend a DL MBA to the traditional, stereotypical on-ground MBA student (a few years business experience, mid-20s).

    1. at present I am working as Project manager in one of the top most IT companies with 8 years of exp in IT projects implementation.

    2. I am 29 yrs old. I hav Bachelor degree in Engineering.

    3. My budjet is $25,000 to $35,000. For gud B schools, ready to spend little more.

    4. I am more interested in online course, coz I may not get a chance to fly out to attend the class.

    5. I am interested in TOP B Schools with accreditation.

Within or near your price range, and fitting your criteria of a top school (ranked by one of the top guides, either BW or USN), I'd look into the following as my top choices:

    Indiana
    Arizona State
Rensselaer Polytechnic (MSM, outstanding techie school)
    Florida
    UMass
    UT-Dallas
    Denver

There are many other schools that may not be ranked per se, but they're recognized none the less and may be better choices given your region, such as:

    Auburn
    Nebraska
    U Texas System
    U Georgia System
    Colorado State
    Wyoming
    Mississippi State
    Mississippi

If you're willing to spend more that your expressed budget, there's:

Purdue (of course, one of the top engineering schools in the country, so this may be of great interest to you, though it does have some fairly involved residencies)
    Penn State
    Syracuse

If you're willing to spend a LOT more and break the bank, but looking for the very best available online, there's:

    Duke

There are many other schools with online MBAs, any one of which may be a better fit for you given your region or particular interests. You should take Bruce's excellent advice and check out Jonnie's site. You could also look at the US news or Business Week online guides to MBAs. Any more questions, we'll be glad to help.

    Rensaeller....

Just as an fyi, I had looked into the RPI program and I was informed by Rensaeller you have to go on campus for at least two sessions a class. It is not fully online. It is a great school school though. You might also look into the techno MBA from Drexel and the online MBA from Stevens Institute of Technology.

    Cheers,

I go to Texas A&M - Commerce for their online MBA and love it. I would suggest looking into this.

Yes, of course, TAMU-Commerce. I forgot that one. Another very solid program.

Univ of Texas at Dallas (part of the UT System mentioned by little fauss) has a Global Online MBA program that is very good. I am finishing up my MBA there and have enjoyed it so far. For non-residents of texas, the tuition is a little more pricey than other MBA programs.

For texas residents, tuition is about $20K, for non-residents, about $35K.

Yeah, I think UTD's been ranked regularly by USN in their top 80 (out of approx 700 total MBA programs). Fine school, I have a friend from Dallas who took on-ground courses there, they have a reputation in that area for being very strongly oriented towards the working professional. Were they only a little less expensive for out-of-state, I'd have quite possibly gone there for online.
