The lack of a .ac.uk domain alarms me.

The fact they are using a trading-as name from a UK Limited company alarms me.

Anything else that you alarm me?

Is it still legally allowed to operate like this from within the UK?

The company behind it is UK setup, owned and manned.

I Don`t know, maybe is legally to operate in UK, but is not accredited. That the principal fact. You can also print yourself a Diploma, it`s the same.

It´s a UK Limited Company. I can not find this Uni at www.anabin.de or www.chea.org or http://www.dfes.gov.uk/recognisedukdegrees/annex4.shtml

Does not look like they are on the DFES web site.

    Looks unofficial to me.

Many make a mistake by ignoring qsa qualifications and accreditations

If their claim to be accredited by BCS is correct and I will address this claim later in the post then BCS accredited schools allowed to award NVQ level 4 . level 5 and level 6 diplomas - at academic equivalents of Foundation AS degree, BS and up to Post graduate certificate level 6.

Now there is Regal International College accredited by BCS and they do award qualifications that are accredited in IT.

The problem with this Regal is that they are not listed at BCS web site as BCS accredited.

    Accredited course providers
A list of BCS Professional Examinations accredited course providers.

BCS accredited course providers have not only made a commitment to a BCS code of practice but have also had the courses specified in the list below successfully assessed by BCS examiners.

Applications for accreditation are welcomed from course providers throughout the world and from distance learning providers. Course provider guide

    ABRS International Information & Technology
    Hong Kong

    Boston College of London
    London

    COSMIC INSTITUTE
    Pakistan

    IDM Computer Studies (Pvt) Ltd.
    Sri Lanka

    International Training Institute
    Papua New Guinea

    London School of Management
    London

    Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC)

    Regal International College
    Middlesex

Southampton Solent University (formerly Southampton Institute)
    Southampton

    Westminster College of Computing (UK)

    Williams College

Here is what Regal International is Accredited by BCS to provide

Professional Graduate Diploma (BCS Level 6 Professional Graduate Diploma in IT): Advanced Database Management Systems, Computer Services Management, Network Information Systems, User Interface Design, World Wide Web - Beyond the Basics.

NCS is Royal Chartered Engineering Institution of Systems and IT Professionals they are also licensed by EC UK enabling qualified members to register as CEng and IEng.

Now the mentioned above Regal is NOT on BCS list as ACCREDITED schools and possibly misrepresenting the claim for accreditation.

Now I'm not sure if Dfes lists QSA accredited qualifications that are of academic value.

City and Guilds Sr awards are not listed on Defes site but they are recognized awards with academic equivalency.

I couldn't validate this entety other claims of accreditation as well they may be completly fake.

Sorry Lerner, but the Regal International College ist not the same with the Regal Academic College of London. The question from user DavidToppingUK was about the Regal Academic College of London, this College is not accredited.

If you read my post you will see that thats what I say.

But I didn't simply dismissed it as fake I olso provided info about BCS accredited colleges that are not fake and may not be listed with the DFES web site as a post before mine states.

My post exposes it for claiming BCS accreditation.
I provided a list from BCS web site and its not listed there.

Re read my reply and you will get the picture.

Not only this college is unaccredited but what I point to is that they don't have the accreditation they claim.

What I also pointed is to DEFES not having City and Guilds listed on their site and that DEFES listing is not the only indicator.

    Hope this helps.
