I was looking at the fees for the MTh at Wales-Lampeter. At first, it looked good: £3200 a year. Then, I noticed that amount was for British and EU students. Overseas students, which I would be, pay £8040. Quite a difference.

My question is: is there a scholarship available for overseas students? Oxford and Cambridge have (or used to have) scholarships that, if won, allowed the overseas student to pay the British/EU student amount. Is there anything like this at Wales-Lampeter? For those who have interacted with (or even taken a degree with) Wales-Lampeter, how did you pay for it and did you get any help from the school?

    Thanks.

There is the Overseas Research Awards Scheme (http://www.orsas.ac.uk) however I think this is for full-time and you have to be in residence.

When I emailed with the folks at Lampeter concerning their MA Islamic Studies program, they made it clear that any scholarship given by the university were for people in residence only (regardless if international or EU citizen).

That's not to say that their might be other scholarships out there that can be awarded for non-residential studies, but I don't you will find many university-awarded or government-awards scholarships for non-residential students.
