Even though a few not-so-good schools have sneaked into the listings, Peterson's is still a generally good reference. Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools -- information in the Peterson's description. I haven't found it on the Lakeland website -- no doubt it's hidden in plain sight. Searching the NCA directory at http://www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org/directory/search.html turns up both Lakeland College in Wisconsin and Lakeland Community College in Ohio. ------------------ Kristin Evenson Hirst DistanceLearn.About.com
Just a note of trivia: Dr. Patrick Jacobs, who serves on faculty at Lakeland College, earned his Ph.D. at Potchefstroom (via PU/GST) in 1999. His BA and MA are regionally accredited. Russell

On the other hand, page twelve of the Lakeland College Online Summer 2001 Schedule of Classes lists one faculty member with a doctorate from a "less than wonderful" school (emphasis is mine): The faculty page was omitted from the Fall 2001 Schedule of Classes and from the recently revamped Lakeland College web site.
