I have an interest in pursuing a doctorate. In my exploration I ran across Colorado Techninal University and their Doctorate in Management - http://www.ctucoloradosprings.com/default.asp - and would like some feedback about the School and the program. I have not been able to track down a price which always alarms me but since the school seems to be appropriately accredited this is less of a concern. One of the interesting features about this program is the use of published articles to replace the dissertation. Any comments or advice would be appreciated.
CTU isn't very well known here in colorado, but they have started to advertise on the radio. I believe their DM runs aound $40,000. I think they have an office in Denver as well as Colorado Springs. Hope that helps.
I looked at this program briefly but the residential requirements immediately took it out of the running. I wish there was a program like this around the DFW area...if so, I would have seriously considered.
I can confirm the information posted by Parvo. The cost is actually over 40K plus the expense of 9 residency periods. I would have to mortgage my house and probably my dog for that rate and at my age the ROI does not make this proposition palatable. Perhaps I can refocus the question. Apart from some interesting curriculum items the thing about the CTU program that interested me was achieving the Doctorate through publishing articles as opposed to writing a disertation. My interest is in any type of business doctorate. Are there any other alternatives that offer a program designed similar to the CTU model?
I've only heard of a few schools (in South Africa maybe?) that provide this type of program. Perhaps some of the more senior folks can comment.
