Are there any DL programs that offer a certificate in Law or Business Law? SCUPS used to have a Masters in Law but it is gone.
Here they are: http://www.friends.edu/academics/GradSchool/msbl.asp http://www.nsulaw.nova.edu/online/msedl/index.cfm WOW, it only took four years, but it looks like I'm now a "senior member!"
Isn't there also Indiana University in Pennsylvania? And what of the U of London programs: LLB, LLM, MS in Law and Finance, all available online. I think the Friends program is on-ground. I've taught there for their College of Adult and Professional Studies, but in the business program--which is available DL, but only in Kansas at once-a-week satellite locations. I'm not certain about the legal studies masters, but pretty sure it's in-person. Fort Hays State has a DL "Justice Studies" program, but it's bachelor's level. You could also do one of the MLS programs available DL out there that allow a legal concentration. FHSU has a "Criminal Justice" emphasis to their DL MLS (not really law or business law, though). I think a person could do the Harvard Master of Liberal Arts primarily online (one semester residency) and emphasize legal studies. Though there is no specific legal studies option, there are a number of classes that are offered in law and legal studies, and one could presumably fill out all their elective requirements with them and couple that with Government as an emphasis (which Harvard does offer), then write their thesis on legal studies and have the rough approximation of a legal studies DL degree.
Deakin University www.deakin.edu.au , Macquarie University www.coe.mq.edu.au , and Robert Gordon University www.rgu.ac.uk offer master's degrees in business law.
Maybe Bruce will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this means that you should be expecting your secret decoder ring, instructions to the initiation ceremony, and instructions on the secret handshake. So, check your mail soon!
The only rule I ever heard about was that a Senior Member is not supposed to talk about being a Senior Member, though that is (I believe) forgivable in certain circumstances.
I believe it is California University in Pennsylvania (strange name huh?). Website is here -> Cal U in Penn Legal Studies MS
The great state of Pennsylvania does indeed have both a California University www.cup.edu and an Indiana University www.iup.edu , which (surprise, surprise!!) are located, respectively, in California, Pennsylvania, and Indiana, Pennsylvania.
Thanks Ted...I never cease to amaze myself at how little I really know. I am constantly learning something new every day
Actually, I think it was California University of Pennsylvania I was thinking of with the DL law program, not Indiana. I'm sure you can see the reason for my mistake.
