If you take a course currently being evaluated by the American Council on Education, will you be eligible for credit when/if the course receives a recommendation?

I'm looking specifically at the American Institute of Banking's online courses ( http://www.aba.com/Online+Courses/course.htm ).

In my military days as an education specialist, and later as an education officer, we often dealt with ACE recommendations regarding military training. In those instances, the recommendations would have time frames attached. As training programs evolved, so did the ACE recommendations. When you attended a particular course was significant; it could affect the ACE recommendation dramatically. I would assume this is the case for many or all ACE evaluations and recommendations. It is likely that one who takes a cours prior to ACE evaluation and recommendation might not get credit, unless that recommendation is granted retroactively (also a reasonable possibility).

When I met with the people who do the ACE evaluations a few years ago, they said that something like 1,800 colleges and universities accept their evaluations at face value (i.e., give that much credit), while others use them as a guideline but do their own further evaluation.
