    Hello,

I have searched the board for information on the London School of Journalism and while there was a little bit, I wanted to ask if anyone knows the quality of the school? I have an RA B.S. and am not wanting to pursue a Master's in Journalism at this time so I thought about enrolling in one of their diplomas at LSJ....anyone here ever take any of their diplomas? It looks like it is a very good program and it is offered totally online which I really like.

Any information would be much appreciated!

Do a search here and you'll find a thread on them from last March.

They seem to be a fine and respectable place, but for heaven's sake, don't say anything to offend them. I mentioned that I thought I had seen their ads on the London underground (I was wrong; remembering the London School of Philosophy), and got a scathing response, of which one of the kinder comments was Your
remarks are inaccurate and show a total disdain for fair or accurate commentary...

Also, bear in mind that there are dozens of universities in the US and the UK that offer non-degree-related distance courses (on line, or ink on paper) in many aspects of journalism. Indiana State U, Oklahoma State U, and Texas Tech U are among the many (and none of them advertises on the London underground either).

It is nothing to do with the University of London.

I can't believe I am replying to a post 12 years old but felt I had to.

I just wanted to point out that John Bear got it completely wrong not once but twice. The organisation that notoriously advertises its courses on the London Underground is not the London School of Philosophy, a very respectable little college set up by philosophy lecturers from Birkbeck College, but is the entirely unconnected and much more controversial School of Economic Science (SES). I'm not surprised the London School of Journalism were miffed. I expect the London School of Philosophy would be equally upset!
