    Hello;

    I have read some of the information through the "resources" link. In particular, the "BAin4weeks"; if you haven't read it, it basically talks about how to test out of all your classes in order to receive a degree.

    I am working on my accounting degree. Most of the accounting classes I need to take (other than the first two classes), do not seem to be available to test out of. Unless, I just don't know what I am looking for. Which is very possible. Can someone tell me if there is a way to "test" out of the accounting classes.

    Thanks,

    Hi Kittyfg;

    First off, which school are you attending?

    Keep in mind that not every degree can be tested out of 100%

    You'll need to work with your program advisor, however there are many possible ways to test out of courses.

    These include;

    CLEP

    DANTES/DSST

    Excelsior

    TECEP

    Also depending on the school there may be the option of Prior Learning Assessment, as well as credit for specific certifications or licenses.

    You may also be able to look into various colleges to utilize their specific challenge exams (I took several CIS challenge exams at a local college and then sent the transcript to Excelsior).

    I don't know if this would help but here's a crosswalk a local college uses for some certifications for credit, including accounting.

    There are DANTES tests that are not exactly accounting (except for one) that might help-
    There is a Principles of Financial Accounting, Personal Finance, Principles of Finance, Principles of Statistics, Money and Banking, Business Law II

    Good luck-
