As you guys may know, I'm 24 credits short of my AA and I've enrolled, after 25 years, at St. Petersburg College to finish it off.

This summer I'm taking 3 classes online at SPC (Art History I, Western Humanities, Public Speaking) and so far, I'm enjoying the online experience. In particular, the Public Speaking class appears to be great fun.

Anyway, according to my latest advisement report, after I complete these three classes, I will need five more classes and one lab to finish my degree. I'd like to finish up next semester, but five classes would be a pretty big load.

Therefore, I've enrolled in two classes via LSU independent study, POLI 2051 - American Government and MATH 1021 - College Algebra. I've confirmed that both will fulfill requirements I need at SPC.

Since I have nine months to complete them, I figure I can work through them at my own pace. If I'm ahead in my classes at SPC I can push harder in the LSU classes and if I need to lay off the LSU stuff due to the attention I have to give my SPC work, I can do that, too.

    That's the plan.

Hi. I went to SPJC several years ago. I really liked it. This link from UF may be helpful, too. UF Correspondence has a lot of courses that may be helpful towards your degree. Several of them don't require final examinations which is helpful when you are taking more than one class and raising a family.
