I am searching for a PhD program in Business (post MBA), and have been looking at Touro. I am a little concerned with their relationship with their parent college - Touro College in NY, and how universities will look at this degree for future professors. Is there anyone who has taken this or researched this school at the PhD level? How does this compare to Nova SE? I have to do this as "Distance Learning" - no other option for me ... but I need to be marketable when I'm through. Any ideas?? Bill
My personal opinion is that the relationship with the B&M Touro College in NY is a plus for TUI. I looked at TUI and Northcentral Univ (NCU) (http://www.ncu.edu) and chose NCU because I like NCU's learner system compared with TUI's. I also thought about Nova but I coudn't do the on-campus residency that was required.

I agree with Eric; I think it's a good thing. I have to do this as "Distance Learning" - no other option for me ... but I need to be marketable when I'm through. Marketable to whom? In the business world as a consultant, to get adjuct positions, or for full blown academia? -=Steve=-
Looked at TUI and NCU As with earlier posts, I looked at TUI and NCU because of the residency requirements. I took a class from TUI and dropped because I didn't like their user interface and user-friendliness. I have enjoyed NCU and I like that the dissertation is included in the program. At TUI, you complete classes then do the dissertation while paying tuition until done. Just MHO.
