Good day everyone! We've had a few questions come in from people in the Los Angeles area (within 50 miles of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute) about local training courses available. I wanted to shed some light on what HMI offers for those who want to attend the college.

Relax. No. I was not talking about the course. Actually, I am interested in completing an online hypnotherapy course online. I appreciate your post.

Then I viewed your institute. I was pleased. However, I feel that if one institution begins to post about their school, then this informative discussion board will be filled with ads. Mabye there should be a forum allocated for this.

Just my humble and insiginificant opinion. Of course, you are welcomed to post as often as you wish. Welcome.

I spent a considerable amount of time reviewing the forums and searching for a Terms of Service which I've still not located.

We've been a supporter of the DegreeInfo Forums for quite a while. The quality of the readership here is excellent and I was given the task of locating viable online resources for HMI and their online distance education programs.

I'm sure that the Administrators and Moderators reviewed this post when I first posted it and that it passed muster. We're doing something that has not been done before in this particular segment and it's a great opportunity for the readers of DegreeInfo.

P.S. I agree with you that an additional forum for these types of announcements might be in order. But, I do believe the current workload for the group managing the boards probably prevents that from happening.

I couldn't find that TOS. Thank you for the link and I wish to personally express my apologies for violating those terms. If the forum moderators wish to remove this post, I'll fully understand.

 

If I wanted to post about an affiliated program in a forum, I would register as a member, contribute for a while, then mention the particular accredited program. Blend in if you will. Treat it as a humane covert operation . Who knows. You may like to post as a non-affiliated individual and be one of us

For example: If anyone is interested. Here is an online hypnotherapy course offered by so and so.

I'm not sure I can see this as "advertising" or "spam". If Harvard University were to offer free online courses, we'd all want to know about it.

One could argue that by putting Excelsior College in my signature that I;m advertising for Excelsior. hmmmmm

It could'nt hurt to know. It is good information. However, once a university employee or affiliate does it, many will start to advertise their programs, little certificates, pens, softwares and other adware. It becomes annoying after a while and lowers the quality of individual discussion of distance education. Well, thats up to the degreeinfo execs. If they allow it, I'll respect it.

You want to know where to find the TOS (Terms Of Service) agreement? Okay! Well, back up a little bit. Click the Back button on the top left corner of this page. This should take you to a page called Distance Learning Discussions, which lists, with clickable links, the titles of the thirty-five most recent distance learning discussions here at degreeinfo.com. In the top left corner of the page, just above all those clickable thread titles are the names of the three moderators, Bruce, Chip, and DesElms. The moderators' names are clickable. So click on the name DesElms. This should take you to the eminent Mr. Gregg L. DesElms' profile page. In the top right portion of that page, there is a thing that says, "Click here to see all posts by this user." So, click on that. That should bring you to the first of many pages of clickable titles of Mr. DesElms' many thousands of posts. Randomly click on any of DesElms' post titles. When that brings you to a page showing a DesElms post, go to DesElms' signature line. In DesElms' very elongated signature line, you shall see many clickable links. One of those clickable links should say either "TOS Agreement" or maybe "Terms of Service Agreement." Click on that link and, once you've found said TOS Agreement, scroll down the thing and you shall eventually find the provision thereof referred to hereinabove.
