This fall, Drexel University, a well known regionally accredited school located in Philadelphia, PA is adding two new Bachelor degree programs to it's online offerings.

    Bachelor of Science Education -

Bachelor of Science Psychology (no link as of yet)

At $500/quarter credit this school is NOT cheap. However, if money isn't an issue or your employer offers tuition reimbursement, perhaps one of these programs will meet your needs.

    Drexel no, Southeastern yes

Read the fine print. It's two years if you transfer in two year's worth of credit, for a total of four. That's not to say it's not a perfectly fine program, but it's not a "two year Bachelor's".

Now, here at Southeastern we have four quadmesters per year, so a student taking five courses at a time will be done in two years start to finish. They'd be pretty burned out by then, though. Even someone taking four, which is what we consider full time, will start to finish in two and a half years.

    And we have online....

    Hi Steve,

While I have absolutely no affiliation with Drexel Univ., I feel that I should clarify a couple of things...

First, I never mentioned that this was a two year bachelors. Drexel also has four quadmesters per year (at least for the online programs). Not sure if there is a limit on the number of courses that one may take simultaneously.

I will definitely check out Southeastern though. Do you have a BA/BS Psychology program available online? That is what has attracted me to Drexel.

    Thanks,
    Tom

 You're right, you didn't. Sorry! Good thing I wasn't taking the Analyzing Lit CLEP!

    Oh, cool, then.

Sorry, no. We have Liberal Studies and Child Development (as in early childhood), but not Psychology.

I spent a semester at Drexel, and I can confirm it is a great institution. They are very strong in engineering, and they co-founded a brilliant program that combines quarters of study with quarters of paid, relevant employment with big name organizations. By the time a student graduates, he/she already has a couple of years of related profesional experience that often makes the difference. I would recommend this university without hesitation. Of course, I donýt have either any professional link or otherwise with Drexel, neither am I an expert in education. Just giving an opinion as a past student.:)
