Human resources.. what kinda degree for this field

This is not for me it is for a significant other. Basically she wants to work in the HR field. She needs a Bachelors degree, but is trying to figure out if a degree in psychology, social science or an actual HR bachelors would be the best bet.

Her fear is that the actual HR bachelors is more of the step child of a psychology degree and in the long run a BS in Psyc with a cert in HR might be better.

Thoughts?

 

HR is more about recruitment, retention, regulation, and management than it is about psychology.
