Because it is right accross the street from my office, I have looked into and decided to pursue a double major: MBA and MAFM (Masters in Accounting and Financial Planning) with the thought of sitting for the CPA exam here in Texas.

As you can see from the URL, Keller is the Graduate School associated with Devry. It is very practitioner oriented, but is RA (although with Northcentral, I know that some of you have expressed the opinion that give it away to anyone).
I liked the thought of a AACSB school, but I don't necessarily think that is a real roadblock to me because I am a mid-career professional. I travel some internationally so I like the fact that I can take all or some of my classes online, while at the same time take classes on campus when I am able to. I need to take at least 51% of my classes in the classroom to have the diploma say Texas (not a huge concern). I typically work 60-70 hours a week so the convenience factor is a significant one.
I was also pleasantly suprised to find many of the fee's waived which I had been warned to be prepared for. My employer reimburses me for up to $9000 a year, so I will probably go over that slightly each year.
I have read over the previous threads related to Keller and most of the criticism outside of the anti-non AACSB message was site specific about the schools profit basis (as opposed to the supposedly non-profit schools). I'm looking for the utility of degrees from Keller and actual problems people with a Keller eduacation (or similar schools) have had going on to PhD. programs, particularly at AACSB schools in fields such as Operations Management.
    Thanks

Have you had a chance to look at Texas CPA requirements?

The educational requirements in Texas look to be above average in their difficulty. You might want to check with the Board of Accountancy to see if Texas participates in Substantial Equivalency - meaning once you have a license in one state you can automatically get one in the other. Many states have no residency requirement to apply as a candidate, and lower educational standards.
