    I read about a University in England (Birkbeck) and it said:

    Fees (2006/2007)

    * Home/EU students: £1122 pa
    * Overseas students (eligibility criteria apply): £2754 pa

    So, what is the "pa"?

    I can't imagine it doesn't stand for per annum, i.e. yearly.

    Contextually, you're probably right. One of the entries said: 744 pa (if taken over 2-3 years) 1144 (if taken in one year). Sounds like per annum to me.
