I am very curious as to the difference between a B.S of Health Services Administration and B.S. of Health Service Management? Would this have anything to do with the level of managment?level Any information would greatly be appreciated. I am trying to decide which program to enroll in.
Hmmm... I need to contact the school then. It seems strange to have the exact degree programs offered under different names. I think there must be some sort of variable - even if it is subtle. Thanks for your reply.
One possibility is that there is some kind of turf battle between departments at that institution. For example, the business school (management) and public administration (administration) each decided to offer a degree in this area. Generally, differences between these two names are meaningless. Any school/department could use either name.
What school are you looking at? Take the page for each program out of the school's catalog, place them side by side and compare the differences. In terms of applicability to employment, there isn't a difference.
It was Empire State College. I did compare both programs and don't really see that much of a difference. However, I did partake in a teleconference today with the school and found out additional information that will help me finalize my decision within the next few weeks. Thanks for all the feedback!
Is it a secret what you found out? The suspense is killing US! Maybe, just maybe someone else has the same question you asked, and your answer may help them..
First contact the school, Second compare the program, I think Health Services Administration is different from Health Service Management. From my experience with the hospitals, Aministration is something to do with your patients, Management is something to do with your staffs.
