    detc residency???

so are there any na schools that will accept 120 credit hours and not require me to take any classes with school? i understand that detc schools do not have a residency requirement, so what do they call the 30 credit hours they want you to take from the school?????

    thanks

    Re: detc residency???

You got me, Cal coast does require at least 30 credit hours with them.

    "Credit Transfer Policy"

When you originally said residencey requirement I thought you meant like a one week residency at the campus of the school. Many RA schools requie this.
I think we just were talking about different things.

    good luck.

I am not sure about your definition of residency. If you mean do you have to attend some location for a period of time, the answer is that most DETC schools do not require this. (perhaps it is all but I cannot state this as a fact). If on the other hand you mean take some courses at the insitution then I beleive all DETC approved University have that requirement.

You may wish to look into some alternatives. For instance Athabasca University ( http://www.athabascau.ca/ ) offers a Bachelor of General Studies degree that clearly states there are no residency requirements and in this case they mean you can graduate from this program after accumulating the appropriate number of credits from a variety of post secondary institutions.

I have found the utility of this degree quite high since it has allowed me to proceed to an MA at another Canadian University and to enroll in a MBA at a DETC accredited school in the US.

Thank you for your concern about my feeling unappreciated.

I really do not require a response from the original poster and will toil along with the idea that greenguy was so enthused by my post that the thanks was simply forgotten.
